Torchlight 1 – Console Commands

WARNING – USING SOME OF THESE COMMANDS WILL FLAG A CHARACTER AS “CHEAT”
THIS WILL REMOVE ITS ACCESS TO THE SHARED STASH – USE WITH CAUTION.
(it is a fairly old game, and single player only, but still important to note)

How to Enable the Console for Torchlight 1:

  • Open Up your Torchlight Application Data (  /Users/<username>/%appdata%/runic games/torchlight – for windows users)
  • open the file “SETTINGS.txt” (recommended to use Notepad)
  • Find the Line “Console: 0” in the file, replace it with “Console: 1”
  • save the file (don’t change its name or anything)

Trigger the Console in-game by pressing SHIFT and ~ at the same time. (SHIFT+~) [American English Keyboards] – different keyboards may use a different Shift+Combo (such as Shift+#), but I do not have the resources to test the specifics.

This isn’t an exhaustive list of Console Commands, just key utility ones, view the “HELP” command and the references below the table for longer lists (that may also contain commands that can damage your saves/install):
